Don’t mind me, there are some times I get stuck traveling down memory lane.
Since I’m about to hit a grand total of 14 years traveling the grid, it’s a little mind-blowing to think of all of the different people I’ve encountered. All of the people I’ve ever gotten close to, loved, revered, spent time with… every single person has left some kind of mark on my life.

There was one person who’s made a bigger impact than most (not including my SL partner/RL husband) that this song reminds me of every time I hear it. Everyone who has been in SL for a long time knows that significant situations can push someone into a “break”. For some, it’s temporary. Others can make it permanent for one reason or another. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but it’s hard to see it as such when someone else becomes you in a virtual world to take what they deem most valuable. The sad part is that they succeeded and I nearly took a permanent break.
